Birmingham Youth Empowerment Project CIC (BYEP) is a community based, not for profit organisation that aims to inspire, motivate, and empower young people through holistic approaches.
BYEP mission is to empower adolescents by maximizing opportunities for them to harness (manage) situations, whilst building self-esteem and improving quality of life through advocacy, training, and education.
Birmingham Youth Empowerment Project Mission is to provide intensive case management, mentoring, and educational services to young people who are at risk. We strengthen their capacity to connect with family and the community, whilst laying the foundation for a healthy transition into adulthood.
Young people are empowered when they acknowledge that they have; or can create choices in life. They become aware of the implications, helping them to make informed decisions, and to accept responsibility for the consequences of those actions.
We aim to create, support, and enable conditions where they can act on their own behalf, and on their own terms, rather than at the direction of others.
By sponsoring Birmingham Youth Empowerment Project (BYEP), you will be helping adolescents who find it difficult to cope in life. They could be facing exclusion from school, at risk of offending, or be ‘NEET’ (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). With your funding, BYEP will make the necessary changes to young people’s lives providing a better future.
BYEP aspire to develop a more strongly educated society with equal opportunity for all – regardless of background, gender, or circumstance. We strive to provide flexible learning pathways for students of all ages and cultures, creating future opportunities. This helps sustain an academic learning environment where students realise their full potential, whilst working closely in developing strategic interventions that support areas in attendance, literacy, and raising.
